Completion:2008 Heating Installation

A 225m2 church built in 1841 with a community space extended onto the rear during the 1960-70’s. The church is Grade 2 Listed and sits on a very prominent site adjacent to a major road junction. Worldwise was originally asked to identify the cause of serious mould growth on elements of the building fabric and to recommend a solution.

Our report identified a lack of ventilation coupled with poor heating as the problem and set out a strategy for short term dehumidification with a longer term goal of installing a new heating system as part of a larger building upgrade scheme for improved accessibility and general maintenance.

The building responded well to dehumidification and a new LPHW low surface temperature heating system was designed and installed in two zones for the church and community/playgroup areas.
