New build 900m2 primary school with seven classrooms, multi-function hall, kitchen, and ancillary areas plus a separate 130m2 pre-school building on the same site with some shared services.
Designed to be ‘Green’ with a great deal of natural daylighting through the use of north lights and roof lights and a green irrigated roof. Naturally ventilated classrooms are provided with opening windows at high and low levels on opposite sides of the rooms and overhanging eaves all assist in limiting peak summertime temperatures. Diverting utility company gas mains off the site and provision of a new sub-station were included in the Worldwise design along with detailed design of all M&E systems.
