The refurbishment of a 40 bed shelter for homeless people including shared dining room, kitchen, medical, administration, IT training and gym facilities.

Engaged to generate a Performance Specification with outline design drawings, Worldwise included in the specification design solutions that would enable the work to be executed in a phased sequence so the building could be maintained in operation with only 8 beds lost at any one time. Worldwise also reviewed contractors proposals and carried out regular inspections of the work on site.

As well as replacing the heating and domestic water services systems completely, local extract was provided for all the en-suites and bathrooms, access control, CCTV, small power, cooling for the IT server room and gymnasium and mechanical heat recovery ventilation to medical rooms were all included in the contract.
