Extension & Alterations to Winton Primary School, Bournemouth.

Phases A&B

Internal alterations, extension and courtyard infill to create larger multi-function hall, staff room, two new classrooms and re-configure two other classrooms, resource area, extend kitchen and complete kitchen fit out internally and creating of a new staff car park and street lighting scheme externally.

As well as the usual M&E systems Worldwise designed new main hall AV systems and repositioning of its stage lighting installation and roof light open / close / blind systems.

Increase gas service and meter size and divert it, water main, mains electrical and fibre optic link around new classrooms. Provision of a new 200kVA sub-station and feed to new panelboard also arranged in preparation for Phase C school extension and full kitchen operation.
Works planned so that there was no disruption to the school’s timetable, with all internal works being executed within the 6 week summer holiday period.

Phase C

New build 751m2 single storey extension to school comprising joint head’s office, five classrooms, a resource room, small hall, drama studio, toilets, cloaks, and remodelling of existing library, SENCO areas, ICT classbase, reprographics, medical room, plus the complete landscaping of school car park, and courtyard.

Our designs included all M&E services, natural ventilation solutions, 5.12kWp PV, lighting protection of structure, surge protection, comms network cabling, WiFi, provision of 70” Promethean monitors and interactive white boards, small hall AV system and access control system.
