Poole Accident & Repair Centre
Fit-out contract of 1,220m2 warehouse to provide 780m2 approved centre for car repairs with 11 bays plus specialist aluminium repairs and paint spray booths (the first in the country) along with 234m2 offices, canteen, changing rooms, showers, meeting room and 200m2 stores. Creation of a customer friendly reception and large car park facility on the 1.5 acre site were key requirements for the client in addition to the provision of the repair facility.
The project was undertaken on PPC2000 Partnering form of contract.
Services elements included the upgrade of the power and gas supplies to the site, VRV heat air to air pump to administration areas, mechanical supply and extract systems to welfare areas incorporating heat recovery and gas-fired radiant heating in the workshops. CCTV (with PIR activated cameras, infra red lighting and loudspeaker monitored warning system) required for protection of large external car parking area, data wiring and PA system throughout.
